Jade Travel started to provide the U.K. Chinese community for their air travel services as early as in the 1960s. The business grew rapidly and in the early seventies, Jade Travel was operating whole plane Boeing 707 charter flight between London and Hong Kong.

After operating weekly whole plane Boeing 747s in the late seventies, Jade Travel decided to contract capacity on British Airways scheduled service thereby offering passengers daily departures and high standard of service.

In 1983, Jardine Matheson and British Airways became shareholders. The new partnership provided a new impetus for growth in this rapidly developing market among the U.K., Hong Kong and China.

In April 2002, Mr. C. T. Tang, the President of London Chinatown Chinese Association acquired the whole company and merged its operation with his former Samtung Travel. The success of Jade Travel has been built on services and gained supports from U.K. Chinese community in various trades and businesses. Our experienced staffs are all bilingual in English and Chinese. Jade Travel has become elite in the Sino-British tourism trade deriving from their superb services.

We are on the fast track of changing world. With the signing of Approved Destination Status Agreement (ADS) between Chinese and British Governments in January 2005, exchange programs on education, business, tourism and other activities are developing rapidly among the U.K., China and Far East. With our adhered objective of providing the best service to our customers, Jade Travel will play a more active role in the fields of education, international business, tourism and culture in many years to come.
